The Unicorn Center, Inc. provides therapeutic and recreational opportunities with animals to those with disabilities. Each riding session, up to 30 riders participate in program activities, and many receive scholarships and financial assistance.

The Center strives to keep costs low, and our new Adopt-A-Horse program is just one of the tools we hope to use in the future to continue our mission of providing quality services at prices that are affordable to all. Our four therapy animals, Strawberry, Mysti, Cody and Napoleon, each cost approximately $2,000 a year to maintain with food, shelter, veterinary care and blacksmithing; Strawberry, Cody and Mysti also receive joint supplements to ease some of the symptoms of growing old.

Therefore, we are actively seeking individual and corporate sponsors for our special herd. As rider Josh stated one day, “Where is Mysti? Mysti is my friend, she loves me;” these horses do so much for our participants. They are truly intuitive, caring, non-judgmental, magical therapists, and deserve the best of care. Please consider enrolling in one of our programs to help these real, live, healing “unicorns,” today!
