Services Offered.

The Unicorn Center, Inc. offers several fun and therapeutic options that are
appropriate for a wide range of disabilities and diagnoses. The elderly, traditional school students, at-risk youth, and adolescents all can benefit from these programs.
Participants in the Unicorn Center, Inc. activities must have a formal diagnosis, or be designated as at-risk. We require that all participants be over four years of age, and have the ability to follow two-part directives, such as “go to the barn and get the carrots.” The registration process involves three steps: registration, screening and orientation. After receiving the participant’s medical and information forms, a participant screening occurs, to ensure that The Center is a good placement. After approval, the participant is then assigned a riding time, and attends orientation. We look forward to serving those with special needs!

Therapeutic Riding-Private and group lessons available, depending upon skill level. Our goal is to ultimately place all students in a group-lesson atmosphere, so that the participants can develop peer groups and friendships at the farm. Our Center offers a skill-based instructional program, in which students learn progressive skills, ultimately obtaining the goal of independence in the saddle.
